*LASER ENGINEERING
We are currently developing fundamental technologies in diode-pumped solid state laser, frequency conversion, and the installation of micro-optics
*MICRO-OPTICS
We are hard at work to bring to the market a new breed of optical devices that extend micro-optics, integrated optics, and lithographic technologies.
*PRECISION ENGINEERING
To be ready for the next generation of semiconductor manufacturing and testing machines, we are developing ultra-precision automatic control technologies for fabrication and evaluating optical components.
*HUMAN OPTICS
We study the function of a human eye from the standpoint of physiology, psychology, and physics. We use results in our various products for improvement of QOV(Quality of Vision).
*IMAGE PROCESSING & DIGITAL PHOTOGRAMMETRY
Some of the items under development in this area include systems for image input, recognition and analysis, three-dimensional image measurement techniques, virtual reality and mixes reality. Our fields are medical, positioning, industrial instruments, optical devices and new business.
*ELECTRON OPTICS
Based on our high-level electron behavior simulation, TOPCON advances the technical development that leads to the improvement of electron microscope and the expansion of application of electron beam technique.
Fabrication Development
*FINE FABRICATION
Fine fabrication is user for the manufacture of micro-lenses for optical communication and rotary encoder that is the heart of surveying instruments.
*ULTRA-PRECISION OPTICAL POLISHING
Ultra-precision optical polishing used for planar, spherical and aspherical lenses contribute the development of new products.
*OPTICAL THIN FILM
TOPCON is developing optical thin film for optical band from ultra-violet to infra-red, utilizing film deposition techniques such as vaccum evaporation, ion-applied, Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD), solution coating, etc.
*ASPHERICAL FABRICATION
Various aspherical fabrication that utilize optical polishing technique, precision grinding technique and molding technique help miniaturize various products and give them high precision.
